About Me

Hello! I am Rachel, and I look forward to getting to know you. I practice from a strengths-
based, trauma-informed perspective, grounded in the belief that every person carries
inherent dignity, worth, and resilience. I have been a social worker for 23 years and have
lived in Northern Nevada for the past 14 years, deeply valuing the relationships, schools,
communities, and outdoor lifestyle that make this region unique. I work with adolescents
and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions.
I am committed to supporting individuals impacted by identity-based oppression and strive
to create a therapeutic space that is affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in social
justice. My work recognizes how systems and lived experiences shape mental health while
honoring each client’s strengths and capacity for growth.

My clinical approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), integrating practical tools with meaningful reflection. I
believe that each person already possesses the skills and abilities needed to move toward
an authentic and meaningful life. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken; it is about
reconnecting with what is already there. Together, we clarify your values, process past
experiences, and build skills that can help you move toward a life that feels authentic,
grounded, and aligned with who you truly are.
