About Me
Life can feel overwhelming at any age. For children and adolescents, change happens quickly and emotions can feel especially big and confusing. For adults, responsibilities, relationships, stress, and past experiences can begin to feel heavy or difficult to manage alone. My goal is to help children, teens, and adults better understand their emotions, build healthy coping skills, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

While I have a strong passion for working with children and adolescents, I also enjoy supporting adults who may be experiencing anxiety, trauma, life transitions, parenting stress, or feeling “stuck.” No matter your age, I strive to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where you feel comfortable being yourself.

Building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships is at the heart of my work. I take a person-centered approach, meaning I meet each client where they are and tailor therapy to their individual needs and goals. I believe meaningful growth begins when individuals feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued — human first, always.

As a Reno/Sparks native, I feel deeply connected to our community. I attended Truckee Meadows Community College and the University of Nevada, Reno, where I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work. My passion for working with children was shaped early on through my family’s involvement in providing foster care to the Reno community for nearly 17 years. Growing up in that environment instilled in me empathy, patience, flexibility, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
During both my undergraduate and graduate training, I worked at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Child and Family Research Center in the Home Visiting Program. In this role, I provided in-home education, resources, and support to families. This experience strengthened my understanding of child development while also deepening my appreciation for the complexities adults and caregivers face.
I use an integrative and evidence-based approach tailored to each client. My therapeutic modalities include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment-Based approaches, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Family Systems Theory. By blending these approaches, I support emotional regulation, trauma processing, relationship growth, and overall resilience.
Whether you are a parent seeking support for your child, a teen navigating big emotions, or an adult working through personal challenges, I am here to walk alongside you in a compassionate and collaborative way.
