About Me

Hello, I'm Annie, a clinical social work intern with over two decades of enriching experience in the dynamic field of social work. My journey has been marked by a profound commitment to facilitating positive change and empowering individuals to overcome life's challenges.

Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in understanding and addressing the complexities of trauma. As a trauma-informed social worker, I recognize the deep impact that trauma can have on individuals' lives and well-being. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to embark on their healing journey.

One of the key pillars of my therapeutic toolkit is my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting. These evidence-based modalities have proven to be powerful tools in helping individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. I am passionate about integrating innovative and effective techniques into my practice to ensure that clients receive the best possible care tailored to their unique needs.

My dedication extends beyond the therapy room to advocating for social justice and equality. Over the years, I've worked with diverse populations, from individuals and families to entire communities, striving to address the root causes of social issues and champion the rights of the marginalized.

Building strong and authentic therapeutic relationships is at the heart of my practice. I believe in the transformative power of connection and collaboration, and I approach each client as a unique individual with their own strengths and resilience. My goal is to empower clients to navigate life's challenges, develop resilience, and reclaim agency over their lives.

As a lifelong learner, I am committed to staying at the forefront of the field, continuously expanding my knowledge and skills. My experience has taught me the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape of social work, and I am dedicated to incorporating the latest research and best practices into my work.
