What I have come to realize in life, is that it is more challenging when we decide to go through it alone. We are left to deal with all of our feelings, thoughts, and emotions in isolation. This can not only feel overwhelming but also really inhibit our abilities to navigate life. Therapy might not be the easiest choice for you to make but I do not think it will be a choice you regret. The act of choosing therapy is brave. Whether you know exactly why you are choosing therapy, or you have no idea where to start - you will always be welcomed. I want to support your bravery and I would be honored to walk with you as you grow in your journey.
I have an extensive background in crisis intervention involving those in stressful and life-altering situations. I have used a variety of therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I enjoy using a strength-based, person-centered approach in therapy.
While I do have therapeutic approaches that I enjoy using, I believe in modifying my approach to your specific therapeutic needs. Your situation will forever be unique to you. I want to adjust your therapy to work with you, not against you. When we find something that works for you and your situation, you walk away more confident in the work you are doing. You deserve space where you feel comfortable letting your guard down so you can be vulnerable about your feelings, thoughts, and emotions. I would love the opportunity to create that space for you.
