About Me

“If you can turn and face the clouds with someone you trust, you don’t have to keep running.” Chandra Gosh Ippen, Ph.D.

As humans, we are hard-wired for human connection. Healthy human connection provides emotional well-being, as it helps us make meaning of the stormy seasons of life. As your therapist, I will acknowledge that "connecting" can feel understandably suspicious or uncomfortable. I will start right where you are at. I will aim to provide a judgment-free environment where you can begin to safely identify and explore the areas in which you feel stuck. I will lead you with kindness and curiosity, so that you can begin to show kindness and curiosity toward yourself and your story.

My background experience consists of working with individuals, families, adolescents, and veterans from a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. I have experience working with veterans with PTSD, foster and adoptive families, and adolescents in group home treatment. My treatment modalities include elements of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Additionally, for those so inclined, I can also utilize a Christian, faith-based, approach.

I look forward to connecting with you and would consider it a privilege to partner with you in your journey toward emotional healing and growth.
